KW 3-way Clubsport Coilovers
Track performance with sports tire setup for street legal Clubsport vehicles. The vehicle-specific basic setup of the KW Clubsport 3-way coilover suspension which was developed in numerous test drives and measurement runs on the Nordschleife and the KW 7-post drive dynamics test stand, can further be adapted via the click dial to the wheel loads, vehicle weight and altered body rigidity due to a bolted cage, welded safety cell or strut brace.
Setup – factory-set pre-configured damping setup with separate 3-way damper adjustment
Similar to the KW Competition racing suspension used in international motorsport, the KW Clubsport 3-way coilover kit allows to fine-tune the compression damping separately in low-speed and high-speed ranges. The click adjustment of the “TVCLH-A”- technology is made directly on the expansion tank. You can manually vary the low-speed compression level with six precise clicks on the purple-colored adjustment dial. With the golden adjustment dial underneath, you can individually take influence on changing the high-speed compression setting for your trackday with 14 exact clicks from the recommended basic setup. Regardless of this, there are still 16 clicks available to noticeably adjust the rebound damping by the “TVR-A”-technology. If you would like to adjust the KW Clubsport 3-way coilover kit that is available with a technical component report more comfortable for your trip on the highway to the Nordschleife or a different race track, simply reduce the rebound forces via the rebound stage damping. For the KW Clubsport 3-way used racing technology of the multiple overall winner of the ADAC Zurich 24h Race Nürburgring is still supported by aluminum unibal top mounts.
TVR-A rebound stage damping (Twin Valve Rebound – Adjustable):
The two-step, patented “TVR-A” technology enables the small volume to flow through an adjustable, conical low-speed bypass in the case of slow damper speeds, while in the case of higher piston speeds, the main rebound stage valve opens for the large volume flows. This provides a big improvement in terms of ride comfort without influencing the high-speed in the safety-relevant range. There are 16 precise clicks available for individual settings, so you can choose between more comfort or more body control.
TVC-A compression stage damping (Twin Valve Compression – Adjustable):
With 6 precise clicks in low-speed and 14 precise clicks in high-speed range of the compression stage damping, the cross sections in the valves are decreased or increased, in order to achieve either more or less compression stage damping. The “TVCLH-A”-technology has a blow-off characteristics with large cross-sections which allows high low-speed forces for an optimum bracing of the vehicle body without raising the body in the case of wheel-induced high damper speeds (driving over curbs). The separate low and high-speed setting is always supplied with an additional rebound setting (“TVR-A”-technology) for an in dependent 3-way damper setting.
The KW 2-way Clubsport and KW 3-way Clubsport coilover kits allows a maximum or individual lowering within the tested adjustment range. Due to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the continuously lowering can be varied quickly and easily, even after years.
The benchmark for coilovers
As with all KW coilovers, the engineers at KW develop in extensive test cycles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and in our test center on the KW 7-post rig the vehicle-specific KW damper setup estimated by car enthusiasts worldwide. So you will experience your car even more directly and dynamically with a KW coilover kit.
After all, you do not buy just any coilover kit, but a KW coilover kit that has been specially developed and adapted for your vehicle type. KW as manufacturer exclusively uses own resources, high-quality components and the same damper technology as high-volume manufacturers. With the KW 2-way and 3-way Clubsport kit, the roll and pitch movements of the vehicle body are reduced during compression, so you benefit from an unadulterated directness and a sportier handling while driving.
Our experiences for your driving pleasure
For more than 20 years, we as manufacturer have been the market leader and innovator of individual suspension solutions for the street and racing applications. No matter where in the world, sporty drivers, automobile manufacturers and refiners rely on our KW coilovers “Made in Germany”.
Every KW coilover kit undergoes extensive stress tests during production and is developed and manufactured directly in our company headquarters in Fichtenberg in order to meet the high standards of our KW quality management. So for us as a German manufacturer, it is important that we guarantee a several-year warranty on our KW coilover kits, which exceed the original equipment manufacturer quality, as well as suspension solutions which include more than 4,600 applications.
